My role at ITV is head of programme strategy for ITV3, so my main responsibility is constructing the ITV3 schedule for the year, making sure it's targeted at the right audience, making changes when necessary, we keep a very close eye on the competitors so sometimes we make changes according to what the main competitors are doing, and also the rest of the ITV channels, so we work as like a family of channels, so for ITV3 to keep a close eye on what ITV1, 2 and 4 are doing and because we always want to be a complementary portfolio of channels, sometimes I need to make changes in accordance with the other ITV channels. So I came straight from university to ITV, I did a dissertation on scheduling, as you do, you know. Working at ITV is a really good environment, good experience - we have an open plan office so it's really good, you really feel like you work as a team, especially when there's a number of channels all in the office.

Working in one of our Creative Jobs is the ultimate team game and many parts of the business contribute to what we see on our screens. As a team we make sure we’ve got all the angles covered, from commissioning to transmission, marketing, research and insight, promotion and branding to the content production behind the red button.
In a nutshell, working here means controlling everything we put onscreen, online and even on mobile – plus making sure we deliver a profit to our shareholders. A role in Channels is not without challenge, but with vision, a creative and strategic mindset and a real focus on teamwork our aim is to deliver engaging viewing over and over again.
